Mom of four. DIYer. Lover of the outdoors. Athlete. Believer.
I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from St. Ambrose University in 2012. I immediately entered practice in the sub-acute rehabilitation setting, a setting I loved for the variety, need for critical thinking and imagination to adapt treatment to each individual's needs and complexities. The changes in healthcare brought about sweeping changes in therapy. Changes that limited or outright denied skills and expertise I had that promoted faster recovery, health and wellness. With it came changes in what I was expected to do as a primary care provider. Changes I did not feel were in the best interest of the people I was serving. Changes that made me not want to be a Physical Therapist anymore, to throw away my years of schooling and experience.
Conversations with people in my local community, a community I absolutely love, made me realize that my skills and expertise could be well put to use. I found I am not the only one tired of the denials by insurance, cuts by Medicare in the quality and quantity of services. People are also sick and tired of being sick and tired. I realized my skills and expertise in bodily function, form and movement, as well as the knowledge in health and wellness I have gained along the way are things people are searching for to live their best possible lives at any age.
I am here to start a wellness revolution. No insurance, no hoops to jump through for coverage, no hidden fees and no outrageous bills. Up front rates, appointments at your convenience at your home or workplace, working on the things that YOU want and need.
Won't you join me?
